Today, Tuesday July 2nd, marks the 21st annual “Wawa Hoagie Day,” celebrated each year at Independence Visitor Center. Head over to Market Street [between 5th & 6th] between 12 pm & 2 pm today to enjoy. Philadelphia Weekly reports 4.5 tons [9000 lbs] of hoagies will be on-site! In addition, 5,000 hoagies will be sent to local charity Philabundance. Mayor Nutter will be in attendance, along with a live performance from the “Liberty Bells.” Support our troops by stopping by the letter writing station to create personalized cards & letters. The National Constitution Center will also be offering free admission from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Highly recommend stopping by this event for some free eats, but more importantly, supporting good causes.
Stay tuned this week for further coverage on Wawa’s “Welcome America” Independence Day weekend celeberation in Philly from July 1st through 7th!
