Nationally, Philadelphia outperformed most U.S. cities during the housing bust:

According to Kevin C. Gillen, PhD. ever since the bursting of the housing bubble, Philadelphia Real Estate shows only a -15% cumulative decline from where the housing prices peaked (see figure 1). Philadelphia real estate has recovered 1/3 of it’s lost home values (see figure 2).
