Tomatoes, Inman & Atacan
The Atacan Group has always been known as the ”High Tech Realtors” in Philadelphia not just because of their one-of-a-kind, custom website which lets their clients have full access to ALL listing information, but because we always have the latest information and greatest tools available for our clients. One of the main reasons that we are always ahead of the curve is because we look to both Inman News and The Real Estate Tomato for real news, trends and analysis.
Prior to opening the 1st Keller Williams in Philadelphia 18 months ago I checked these sites to see what they thought about this up and coming, but little known (at least in Philly) franchise. Well Inman called it the “Most Innovative” brokerage and posted compelling articles on its agent centered business model. Then I heard the Founder of The Real Estate Tomato, Jim Cronin speak at Keller Williams Mega Camp in Austin in August. I signed the franchise documents as soon as I returned. Clearly, I made the right decision because Keller Williams was the #2 brokerage for units in Philadelphia County in 2008 and currently the #3 in sales in the downtown market.
While listening to Brad Inman and Daniel Rothamel on Tomato Radio yesterday discus their annual San Francisco Connect convention on August 5-7, I decided I really must attend this year. I have been to the one in New York City, but never to the one on the west coast. This event is described as the one that brings together the innovators, technologists, visionaries and risk takers who define real estate’s future. Clearly, it is because this year they will have the CEOs from Yelp, Jeremy Stoppelman and Zappos, Alfred Lin as the featured speakers. These two companies are single-handedly effecting how local business are rated and buzzed and how shoes are sold on the internet, respectively. I am so psyched because I hope to be doing the same with my website on the brokerage level.
And although my website cost a fortune I may be attending this event for free because 10 Inman Connect San Francisco Passes Are Up For Grabs.: The most creative blog writers as judged by The Real Estate Tomato staff will be the recipient of these $1000 passes. I think the reason I should be one to because….
My labor of love, my website www.CenterCityRealEstate.com is almost completed. I plan to make it customizable and offer it to other brokerages next year. This significant event will mark the first stage of my website going national. It is here that I will gain ground-breaking new ideas for this endeavor.
