South Street Bridge Reopening Tomorrow!

At 2 pm tomorrow afternoon, South St. Bridge will open for pedestrians to stroll followed by a dedication ceremony at 3pm.  After that it will finally be reopen to drivers and bikers.  The project is both ahead of schedule and right on budget.

New features to the bridge that links University City and Graduate Hospital include wider sidewalks, bicycle/pedestrian crossing at the Schuylkill River Trail, wider green colored bicycle lanes, reduction of vehicle lanes, relocation of street lights, and traffic signal adjustments aimed at improving pedestrian safety.
