Bruce Springsteen Exhibit at The National Constitution Center
Calling all Springsteen fans! If you appreciate rock and roll and are any kind of fan of “The Boss”, then you really should go check out this exhibit at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia called From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen.
I took my mom last weekend, had a good time, learned some things, and came away with a new appreciation for Bruce Springsteen as an artist. The exhibit is on loan from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and will be at the Constitution Center from February 17th – September 3rd 2012.
One of the coolest parts about the exhibit are the actual pages of his notebooks with draft after draft of handwritten lyrics on display. It’s very cool to look at some of them and get a glimpse inside the mind and creativity of a great American artist. There are many other Springsteen relics on display including guitars, awards, outfits he wore on album covers and during performances (kind of amazing how small some of them were!), the Harley-Davidson he rode cross country, the hat he wore on that trip, even an overdue electric bill notice!
So go check it out while it’s here in your backyard, Philadelphia! He also happens to be in town tonight at the Wells Fargo Center! There’s 56 tickets left on StubHub.
