Queen Village and Bella Vista are both historic neighborhoods. Queen Village (Delaware River-6th, South-Washington) named for the Queen of Sweden is considered to be the 1st true neighborhood in Philadelphia because of it access to the Delaware River. The bordering, Bella Vista (6th-11th, South-Washington) was the first neighborhood settled by Italian immigrants in Philadelphia, is home to the Italian Market and known for its beautiful views of the downtown skyline.
