Graduate Hospital
Southwest Center City aka "SoSo" is the large area that spans from South St-Washington Avenue and Broad St-Schuykill River. It is the neighbor north to the high-end neighborhoods or Rittenhouse and Fitler Square. This everchanging neighborhood goes by many names, most frequently it is referred to Graduate Hospital or Grad Hospital, after the old Hospital on South & 18th Streets that Penn has since taken over. It is also called G-Ho, South of South, SoSo, and Naval Square.
Recently the area has experienced much growth and gentrification. An area once known for its crime and hot drug corners, is now known for its restaurants and bars. The birthplace of both Marian Anderson and Billie Holiday it is no surprise that some of the best live music venues in Philadelphia Bob and Barbara's and Tritones are located here.
Hundreds of homes and condos have been built or refurbished and it is now has some of the hottest real estate in Center City. Moreover, meter free parking abounds through out this neighborhood, which is a nice change from the $300 a month parking garages just up the street in Rittenhouse Square.

Honey’s Sit ‘n Eat Opens in Graduate Hospital
The weekend weather was incredible for early March and made losing an hour for daylight savings time much more bearable. The spring like temps had the Philadelphia area bustling and the crowds of people were gathered at the new Honey’s Sit ‘n Eat on 21st and South Street. The doors to this diner/brunchery opened two weeks ago and the loyalist of the original Northern Liberties location couldn’t be happier. The décor is reminiscent of a hardware store but the menu is the same of the Northern Liberties location with all the Southern Jewish fusion favorites like Challah French Toast, Brisket Soft Tacos, Fried Green Tomatoes, Country Fried Steak and their ever changing specials making the lines and wait worth your while. So for all you Center City Philadelphia residents, there is no need to venture down to Northern Liberties, when Honey’s new location in Graduate Hospital is waiting on your arrival!

The Prettiest Blocks in the Graduate Hospital Neighborhood
Graduate Hospital is a neighborhood located in southwest Center City that has been undergoing massive gentrification since the early 2000’s. The area, named after the original Graduate Hospital located in the region, is a real estate Mecca for Philadelphia residents seeking affordable and high quality living options.
